The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment, Forest Service Branch, is currently seeking a proactive, self-directed, analytical individual with a background in silviculture and field surveys to fill the role of Forest Ecosystem Technician headquartered in Prince Albert. 

This position will be responsible for the planning, supervising and implementation of field survey projects that support the provincial forest inventory and growth and yield programs.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders and the Ministry of Environment to develop and submit annual operating plans. Your duties will include timber and access reconnaissance, liaison with government, Indigenous Peoples, trappers, and other stakeholders. Other duties may include assisting with field layout, harvest supervision, silviculture projects, certification, and production and quality programs.
